Translations
Production Design (2nd Year Project)
Brian Friel's "Translations" is a play set in 19th-century Ireland during the British Ordnance Survey. It delves into themes of language, cultural identity, and the impact of colonialism as characters grapple with the erasure of Irish place names in favor of Anglicized versions. The play highlights the complex relationships between language, power, and the preservation of heritage in the face of cultural upheaval.
For this Project, my main objective was to create a historically accurate barn design through visual and historical research. I used different mediums like Architectural Drawings, Card models, and AutoCad for a Digital Model of the Barn.
